Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Jonathan Moulds Leads Campaign to Drive Investment in the Arts

Hook

Arts & Business says ...

"The arts are not an optional extra – they provide insight, creativity and opportunities to build self-esteem, all of which are necessary to make our communities healthier and more vibrant.

"We need a new debate – harder, more urgent and more critical - that brings responsible businesses, communities and the arts closer together. It is only with a full knowledge of the essential value that the arts add to society, that we will be able to raise the importance of the discipline and gain the funding required to sustain development.  New partnerships like that between BITC and Arts & Business are essential in helping to create better cultural understanding between communities wherever they may be.

"I am delighted to be part of this group and look forward to working alongside other business leaders to help sustain and grow the funding and development of the arts in the UK. It is through partnerships and involvement at every level that we can embed real change."
Jonathan Moulds, Chair of the new Arts & Business Leadership Campaign

"We are delighted that Jonathan Moulds will be the first Chair of the Arts & Business Leadership Team. He shares our passionate belief in the transformative power of the arts and has the requisite tenacity to establish this new campaign and drive it forward to great success.

"In a challenging context for all arts and business communities in the UK, Jonathan’s skills and experience will be invaluable if we are to use the power of the arts to improve lives, through creativity, regeneration, and sustainable sponsorships."
Stephen Howard, Chief Executive, Business in the Community

"I join Stephen Howard in welcoming Jonathan Moulds. Arts & Business was founded by business leaders and Jonathan represents the very best in corporate leadership and has a strong personal commitment to the arts."
Colin Tweedy, Chief Executive, Arts & Business, 1983 – 2011
